# min on field

### Field Selection Required

This block relies on a field that you select to perform its data actions. You must manually select the field you want to use in your flow using the field selector modal. To access the modal, click the white button on the block.

Returns the lowest number for the given field in the given array of objects.

- Array required `array` The array of objects for which to find the lowest number based on the specified field.

- Number `number` The lowest number based on the specified field in the array of objects.

Returns the lowest numeric value of the selected field (dot path) across the object items. Non-object items, items missing the field, and non-numeric values are skipped; numeric strings coerce. Outputs 0 when no field is selected, the selected field type is not number or date, or no item yields a usable value - indistinguishable from a real minimum of 0.
