# get user scopes

This block is part of the [`http connection`](https://docs.rual.nl/block-types/http%20connection) group and was last modified in core [`v10.4.28`](https://docs.rual.nl/core-versions/100428).

Returns the authenticated users scope.

- connection required `httpconnection`

- scopes `array`

Outputs the authenticated user's scopes from the connection's auth as an array. Emits an EMPTY array [] : not nil : when the connection is unwired, unauthenticated, or has no scopes.

A typical wiring for [get user scopes](https://docs.rual.nl/block-types/http%2520connection/httpconnection_get_scopes): the `array` out pin feeds [length](https://docs.rual.nl/block-types/array/array_length).
