# end writestream

This block is part of the [`http connection`](https://docs.rual.nl/block-types/http%20connection) group and was last modified in core [`v10.4.28`](https://docs.rual.nl/core-versions/100428).

Ends the current open stream with the client.

- flow `flow`

- connection required `httpconnection`

- flow `flow`

- connection `httpconnection`

Ends the open stream and flushes the accumulated chunks to the client. When no httpconnection_set_stream chunk was ever written it instead sends a 404 text response with body "NOT_FOUND". An unwired or nil connection sends nothing and outputs nil.

A typical wiring for [end writestream](https://docs.rual.nl/block-types/http%2520connection/httpconnection_set_stream_end): a [function trigger](https://docs.rual.nl/block-types/globals/trigger_custom_function) starts the flow; the `flow` out pin feeds [debug](https://docs.rual.nl/block-types/state%2520ui/state_debug).
