# get message

This block is part of the [`mssgs mail`](https://docs.rual.nl/block-types/mssgs%20mail) group and was last modified in core [`v15.0.1`](https://docs.rual.nl/core-versions/150001).

Reads a sent message back from mssgs mail: its status (`queued`, `sent`, `failed`, `bounced`), attempts and error.

- flow `flow`

- connection required `mssgsmailconnection`

- message guid required `value` The `message_guid` a send block returned.

- flow `flow`

- connection `mssgsmailconnection`

- success `condition`

- error `value` The refusal as `CODE: message`, e.g. `RECIPIENT_SUPPRESSED`, `DOMAIN_CEILING`, `INVALID_FROM`, `INVALID_API_KEY`. Empty on success.

- message `object` The stored message document.

GET email/messages/:guid. Returns the stored outbound message for the API key's domain only; error NOT_FOUND otherwise. status is queued → sent | failed, or bounced once a DSN came back. A masked message reads [masked] for subject, html and text. Timestamps are epoch SECONDS. Suppressed in a simulation.
