Resolves the place a coordinate is at, rather than the record nearest to it. Two things separate it from `places_nearest`. It ignores records that are not places you can be at : at Madurodam the restaurant inside it is a metre nearer than the park, and the park is still the answer. And it recognises being *inside* something: a point in the middle of the Efteling has a snack bar four metres away and the park's own record half a kilometre off at the entrance, so the answer is the park. That is inferred from the park's own attractions surrounding you, because Overture Places has points and no boundaries; `kind` tells you which way the answer was reached, and a point with nothing prominent around it honestly answers `none` rather than reaching for the nearest landmark it can find. - geo point required `v15.0.0` `geo_point` Point to resolve. - near radius (m) `v15.0.0` `number` How close a record must be to count as being *at* the point. Empty uses 60 m. Raising it makes the block reach further for a venue, which on Overture data buys wrong answers faster than right ones. - categories `v15.0.0` `array` Array or comma-separated list of category groups. Accepts group ids (`primary_education`) or Dutch synonyms (`basisschool`, `kroegen`). Empty searches every category. Use `places_categories` to list them. - min confidence `v15.0.0` `number` Drop results below this Overture confidence (0–1). The signal is **uncalibrated** : median 0.80 across the Dutch dataset : so filtering may hide coverage as easily as it removes noise. Empty applies no filter. - place `v15.0.0` `object` The place the point is at, in the same shape `places_nearest` returns. Empty when `kind` is `none`. - name `v15.0.0` `value` The place's name, for labelling. Empty when nothing was resolved. - kind `v15.0.0` `value` How the answer was reached. `venue`: a place you can be at sits within the near radius. `area`: the point is inside something larger, named by one of its own records further away. `nearby`: nothing prominent is here, so the nearest ordinary record is reported : treat this as "near X", not "at X". `none`: nothing at all. - distance (m) `v15.0.0` `number` Distance to the resolved place in metres. For an `area` answer this is the distance to the record naming it, not to the edge of the place : there are no boundaries in the dataset. - is landmark `v15.0.0` `condition` True for `venue` and `area`, false for `nearby` and `none`. The single test for "did this resolve to a real place". - nearest `v15.0.0` `object` The closest record whatever it is, always reported. Worth showing beside an `area` answer: "Efteling : bij Polles Kitchen". - area `v15.0.0` `object` The surrounding place when one was found, whether or not it won. Empty when the point is not inside anything the dataset can corroborate. - area group `v15.0.0` `value` Category group of the surrounding place, e.g. `amusement_park`. Empty when there is none. - area count `v15.0.0` `number` How many of that group's records corroborate the surrounding place. This is the evidence the answer rests on: a real theme park musters dozens, a single mislocated record musters one and is rejected. - success `v15.0.0` `condition` True when the query ran. An empty result is still a success. - error `v15.0.0` `value` Error code when the query could not run: `PLACES_NOT_AVAILABLE`, `GEO_POINT_MISSING_LAT_OR_LON`.
